Circulation alternée à Kinshasa :Jacquemin Shabani surprend et suspend

Le Vice-Premier Ministre, Ministre de l’Intérieur, Sécurité, Décentralisation et Affaires coutumières, Jacquemain Shabani Lukoo, a présidé, ce mercredi 19 février, une réunion d’évaluation sur la mesure de circulation alternée, communément appelée “route à sens unique”. Cette rencontre, tenue dans son cabinet de travail, a réuni plusieurs hauts responsables impliqués dans la gestion de la mobilité à Kinshasa, notamment le Vice-Premier Ministre Ministre des Transports, Jean-Pierre Bemba, le gouverneur de la ville de Kinshasa, Daniel Bumba, ainsi que les représentants de la Police et des services techniques du ministère des Transports, dont la Commission Nationale de Prévention Routière (CNPR).

À l’issue de cette réunion, il a été décidé dans un premier temps de suspendre la mesure de circulation alternée à partir du 25 février prochain. Cette décision fait suite à une évaluation approfondie des effets de cette mesure sur la fluidité du trafic dans la capitale.

Une commission du gouvernement central a été mise en place pour appuyer l’administration provinciale dans la gestion de la mobilité urbaine. L’objectif est de mettre en œuvre des solutions structurelles et durables afin de désengorger les principaux axes routiers de la ville.

La suspension de la circulation alternée constitue une mesure transitoire, en attendant des solutions plus globales pour répondre aux défis de mobilité de la capitale.
