Gouvernement et la banque mondiale s’accordent sur la gestion des risques conjoints et prévention des catastrophes liées au changement climatique

La Banque mondiale a annoncé ce lundi 16 septembre sa volonté d’appuyer et d’accompagner les efforts du Gouvernement avec une facilité de 200 Millions USD, pour l’éradication, réparation et prévention des risques des catastrophes causées notamment par le changement climatique.

le Directeur-pays de la Banque Mondiale (BM), Albert G. Zeufack, l’a fait savoir au Vice-Premier Ministre, Ministre de l’Intérieur, Sécurité, Décentralisation et Affaires Coutumières Jacquemain SHABANI ce lundi 16 septembre au cours d’un échange au ministère de l’Intérieur.

Ces fonds vont faciliter la mise en place d’un projet de développement pour réhabiliter les infrastructures détruites par les érosions, des glissements de terrain, des inondations…

Sous la coordination du ministère de l’Intérieur, et gestion de la banque mondiale, ces ressources viennent appuyer l’action gouvernementale dans la mise en place d’un système d’alerte précoce pour prévenir les catastrophes naturelles.

La Banque Mondiale a en outre félicité la RDC pour avoir mis en place une stratégie de gestion des risques, coordonnée par le gouvernement à travers le ministère de l’Intérieur, Sécurité, Décentralisation et Affaires Coutumières.
