JUSTICE: LE GÉNÉRAL KIFWA OBJET DE POURSUITE JUDICIAIRE

Via une lettre du ministère de la justice, Jean-Claude Kifwa sera poursuivi en justice, après des affrontements survenus dernièrement à Kinshasa.

Maître Kabwende, avocat du Barreau du Haut-Lomami serait victime de tortures et de traitements inhumains et dégradants perpétrés par le Général Kifwa. Cette situation a été dénoncée par un collectif d’avocats qui ont rencontré le Ministre de la Justice et Garde des Sceaux.
Suite à cette dénonciation, et sur injonction du Ministre, des poursuites pénales ont été engagées contre le Général Kifwa devant l’Auditorat Général, l’organe judiciaire militaire compétent en la matière.

« Le Ministre d’Etat, Ministre de la Justice et Garde des Sceaux porte à la connaissance de l’opinion nationale que, sur son injonction, à la suite de la dénonciation faite par un collectif des avocats venus le rencontrer en son cabinet, le Général Jean Claude KIFWA, auteur des tortures et autres traitements inhumains et dégradants sur la personne de maître KABWENDE MUSHIBI Faby, avocat près le Barreau du Haut Lomami, fait déjà l’objet des poursuites pénales devant l’Auditorat Général des FARDC », dixit l’adresse du ministre.

Cette situation illustre la complexité et la gravité des affaires de droits de l’homme en RDC, particulièrement lorsque des personnes en position de pouvoir sont impliquées. Les poursuites engagées contre le Général Kifwa pourraient être un signal fort de la volonté du gouvernement de lutter contre l’impunité, même au sein de ses propres forces de sécurité.
Cependant, cela dépendra de la manière dont l’affaire sera menée à terme et des sanctions qui seront effectivement appliquées si les faits sont avérés.
